She was a co-founder and former chief executive of e-commerce start-up Zilingo, which was included in the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 list in 2018. She is 30 years old now and she was born in 1992. She received her education from Cambridge School, Kandivli, Mumbai, and she studied mathematics and economics at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. In Bangalore, she began her career at McKinsey & Company and Sequoia Capital. 

Why was Ankiti Bose Fired From Zilingo?

According to Bloomberg, she was suspended from her role as CEO in April 2022 after the company’s accounting practices came under scrutiny during a capital raise. In May 2022 she was fired from Zilingo. Bose was placed under suspension on March 31 due to complaints of alleged discrepancies within its financial reports. In a statement from Zilingo, the company said, “Following an investigation conducted by an independent forensics firm, the company has decided to terminate Ankiti Bose’s employment with cause, and reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal action.” On April 11, after she was suspended on March 31, Ankiti Bose forwarded to the board for the first time certain harassment-related issues pertaining to past periods, without mentioning any complaints against investors or their nominees,” it read.
