Zelenskyy Expresses Grief 17 Died In Road Accident In Western Rivne Region: In the latest development regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war, at least 17 people lost their lives on Tuesday after a bus collided with a tanker in western Ukraine, according to media reports. War-torn Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during his daily address to the country on Tuesday evening that a “terrible road accident” had occurred in the western Rivne region.

Zelenskyy, during his address, said: “A bus, a car, and a tanker collided. At the moment there is already 17 dead, but there could be more victims.” The President further expressed his sympathy to the families who died in the disaster.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, the disaster does not appear to be related to Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine, nor did Zelensky refer to the same in his speech.

Russian troops killed nearly 9 people in the Donetsk region

On top of that, Dentesk Oblast Governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said Russian troops killed nearly 9 people in the Donetsk region on May 3, Tuesday, as invading forces take storming the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine. In a Telegram message, he further claimed that Russian planes struck Avdiivka, a residential settlement in the area, early on Tuesday and fired Grad missiles in the same direction on Monday evening.

According to media reports, Kyrylenko claimed that the full repercussions of the shelling and shelling remain to be determined. He went on to add that three people were killed while drinking water in Vugledar during the morning bombardment and three other civilians were killed in the Lyman attack. The Governor of Donetsk Oblast further stated that the Ocheretyn settlement was also attacked by Russian forces on the same day and they were trying to clarify information about casualties and destruction. He added that all Russian war crimes committed on their territory are meticulously recorded.

Apart from that, embattled President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced in a video speech on Facebook that 156 people had arrived in Zaporizhzhia. He said some who arrived in Zaporizhzhia had spent more than two months in shelters. He thanked everyone who helped rescue the people. Zelenskyy accused Russian soldiers of breaking the truce by continuing to attack the Azovstal steel plant and attempting to storm it.
