Youth Tied To Tree, Burnt Alive In UP’s Pratapgarh

A 22-year-old youth was killed without any mercy. He was attached to a tree and set on fire in Bhujaini town under the Fatanpur police headquarters of Pratapgarh district. Further, this brutal incident took place late on Monday night. Ambika Prasad Patel (22), an occupant of Bhujaini town, was attached to a tree and set ablaze. The family of the lady with whom he was purportedly engaging in extramarital relations performed this brutal killing.

The crowd assembled near the place of the incident soon after the event took place. Also, the news of this incident spread like wildfire in the area. The crowd was indulging in the violence when the police arrived at the crime scene. The mob of the locals filled with anger attacked the policeman and tried chasing them. Further, it has torched the Police Jeep and Patrolling.

After this, the senior police officials with extra police from the five neighboring police stations reached the crime scene. Subsequently, police dispersed the crowd of agitators. And the police controlled the situation.

K P Singh, IG Prayagraj range, and Abhishek Singh, SP Pratapgarh camped in the area to maintain peace and stability in the area. SP Abhishek Singh said that the main reason for crime was the old enmity. The police arrested three persons associated with the crime. Also, police are now conducting raids to catch the accused offenders.

Ranvijay Patel, the father of the victim, complained Harishankar Patel, Subham Patel, Ram Milan. Police registered a complaint under Section 302 and 201 of IPC. The trouble started when Harishankar Patel lodged FIR against Ambika Prasad Patel under Sections 354 (A), 354 (B), 354 (C), and Section 67 of IT Act. Also, police charged Ambika Prasad Patel for uploading vulgar photos and passing derogatory remarks. Subsequently, the police arrested him. But he secured bail on April 1, 2020.
