The temple trust has moved the Ram Lalla deity to the site from the makeshift temple. Also, the trust moved the deity ceremoniously. Further, they deployed the earth levelling machinery on the site on May 11.

The 16th Century Babri mosque which was standing on the site was demolished in the year 1992. The Kar Sevaks demolished the mosque claiming that there was a Ram Temple at the spot. The Supreme Court, through its decision, directed to allocate 5-Acre land in Ayodhya. However, a separate trial is pending in a special court in Lucknow regarding the demolition of Babri Mosque.
