In the documentary, computer-generated images are used to create an impression of dinosaurs living 66 million years ago around the world. With this project, it was hoped to illustrate dinosaurs using current palaeontological research, such as feathered dinosaurs. Several composers contributed to the series’ soundtrack, including Hans Zimmer, Kara Talve, and An*e Rozman. A dinosaur-focused BBC documentary series for the first time since Planet Dinosaur in 2011, and the third overall (the first was Walking with Dinosaurs in 1999).
