Microsoft company has been working on a refresh for last year’s surface pro X. At this time some sources have revealed that the new upcoming surface pro X refresh will feature the same design as before. Some of the features which served with up-gradation by Microsoft is by installing its new SQ2 processor. However, the base variants of surface pro X will feature the old SQ1 processor, and these would be sold alongside by Microsoft. It will also arrive in a new ‘Platinum’ color variant with new Type Cover color options.
The new SQ2 processor designed in collaboration with Qualcomm and based on the company snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 platform. Microsoft also claims that the new SQ2 chip stands the fastest processor in its class. Microsoft also claims that the SQ2 chip will provide better performance even while using less battery.
The company has also made some enhancement to windows on ARM for further improving the performance of surface pro x. These include updates and optimisation to the visual studio code for Windows on ARM. It leads to an expectation to boost the overall performance and also increase the battery life of Surface pro X. The battery may extend up to 15 hours. The surface pro X is already up for pre-order on Microsoft store but in the selected region.
Microsoft has also introduced a new platinum colour option for the device. The device is priced starting at $1499.99 and will be available across retailer from October 13th. Microsoft revealed three new colours for the Signature Keyboard — Platinum, Ice Blue, and Poppy Red.
