Xiaomi has launched a new line-up of Smart TVs today in China. The company branded them as Mi TV Lux 82-inch and the Mi TV Lux Ultra 82-inch. The TV sets have an OLED display. Mi TV Lux 82-inch supports 4K resolution maxes at 1000nits brightness. On the other hand, Mi TV Lux 8K 82-inch Pro supports 8K resolution and offers 2000 nits’ peak brightness. The 4K model offers 64GB while the premium model offers 256GB of storage.
Mi TV Lux starts with a 4K model that has an 82-inch OLED display. The television gives a 178-degree viewing angle and 1,000nits peak brightness, segmented backlit display, and DCI-P3 93 per cent colour gamut. It is featured with Dolby Vision, and has a response time of 6.5 milliseconds, and support MEMC motion compensation technology. The 4K model provides advantages with MediaTek MT9650 quad-core processor. It also comes with Mali-G52 MC1 GPU paired with 4GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device runs up to 64GB. The TV operates on MIUI for TV system supports Dolby Audio. It provides six-unit speakers in total. Television comes with three HDMI ports, one AV port, two USB ports, one Ethernet port, one optical fibre port, and four mics.
The Mi TV Lux Pro is the premium variant that comes with an 8K Mini LED display with 2000 nits peak brightness, MEMC, 7,680×4,320 pixels resolution, mini LED 960 segmented backlight system, Quantum Dot technology, support DCI-P3 98 per cent colour gamut, and Dolby Vision support. The Mi TV Lux Pro also comes with n-box NFC remote control that allows users to cast video from their smartphones by merely touching it with their handset.
