Poice arrested a man in Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh on the allegations raised by a cow owner. The Cow owner alleged that the accused had injured his Cow severely. The alleged man injured the Cow by offering some food item mixed with the explosive, Police said.
The incident took place just after the death of the Pregnant Elephant in Kerala. In Kerala, the Elephant collapsed in Velliyar river in Palakkad district. Further, Elephant died due the exhaustion and starvation with the severe injuries. Also, she sustained various injuries in her jaw and oral cavity after she chews over the pineapple offered by a man filled with explosives.
The Police arrested the man in Himachal Pradesh after a video went viral. In the video, the owner of the Cow is accusing Nand Lal Dhiman (his neighbour) being responsible for the injuries to her Cow. Also, both of them live in Dahad village in Bilaspur district, which is near Shimla.
The investigation By Police And Medical Team
Dewakar Sharma, Bilaspur SP said that the accused Nand Lal Dhiman was arrested from Dahad village, on Saturday. The medical team, accompanied by the Police reached the spot of crime. Further, the medical team examined the heavily injured jaw of the Cow. Also, the medical team provided the required medical aid to the Cow.
On examination, the medical team said that the Cow was injured in result of a massive explosion. Generally, people in rural areas try to prevent their crops from damage from animals. Mr Sharma said that the Medical team had collected the samples of blood of Cow and the skin.
SP of Bilaspur District said that Police had registered a case in this regard on May 26. Further, the Police registered a case in response to the video of Gurdial Singh’s (Cow Owner). In the video, he said that his Cow was gazing at a distance of 20 feet from his house at 8:15 PM. Then he heard an explosion. Further, he alleged his neighbour for injuring his Cow.
The Police have registered a case under Section 429 of IPC. Section 429 of IPC deals with the mischief of maiming or killing cattle. Further, the Police invoked the provisions of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act.
