Riverdale Star, Lili Reinhart, who plays the role of Betty Cooper, a fierce and bold girl, seemed shy before opening up about her bisexuality.
Lili says she knew she was attracted to women for a long time. While she’s been quite busy with work and dealing with the outside world. She felt this was not the correct time, there was a reason she decided not to come out publicly until two months ago.
Lili Reinhart On Being Bisexual Proudly
She resurfaced publicly as bisexual in June, but Lili Reinhart did share about her sexuality with her closed ones. The Riverdale star, 23, opened up further about bisexuality in an August interview with Flaunt magazine, telling them that “I knew full well that I was attracted to women from a young age.”
She continued by saying “When I entered the spotlight as an actress, I declined to say that I was bisexual publicly, though, for fear of the reaction”. Well, it makes very clear how opening up about your sexuality is a stigma, a taboo. People don’t really tend to appreciate or support your openness regarding it.
Lili Standing For The Cause Of LGBTQ
Lili came out publicly as bisexual to support the cause of LGBTQ and Black lives. She took it to her Instagram Story on June 3, letting her fans know she’d be joining the LGBTQ+ for Black Lives Matter Protest in West Hollywood.
“Although I’ve never announced it publicly before, I am a proud bisexual woman,” she wrote. “And I will be joining this protest today. Come join.” She was spotted protesting in Los Angeles later that day. Lili was wearing a protective face mask and carrying a BLM sign.
