Golf legend Lloyd McWilliams passes away at age 76

Lloyd McWilliams, a golf instructor for kids in Rockford, passed away on Saturday, 24 September 2022. He was a well-known golf legend and one of the best players in Rockford. He was currently working as an instructor for young players.  

Cause of death of Lloyd McWilliams:

Lloyd was suffering from stage 4 cancer. It was pancreatic cancer. He was going through treatment for the same. It is not known where he died. He died peacefully around his beloved family members. 

Many young players and Lloyd’s students were disheartened after learning the news of his demise. His colleagues at Park District also paid their condolences in various ways.

Who was Lloyd McWilliams?

Lloyd was one of the best students and instructors at Rockford Golf Park. In addition, he was an ace golfer. He had three gold medals from classic competitions to his name. He has earned five Rockford City Men’s Championships. In 2005, he also got accepted into the Greater Rockford Golf Hall of Fame. 

When he turned 63, he decided to use his experience in golf for kids in the city. He then became a pro teacher and joined PGA as a teacher. In 2014, he was selected among the 50 top junior player instructors. This selection got him well-deserved appreciation and widespread acclaim. 

Lloyd was 76 years old. He was an American citizen. He was a married man. His wife is Barbara McWilliams. Unfortunately, his wife Barbara died back in 2020. There is no detailed information available about his family and his children.
