His son Ese Onosode confirmed his father’s death news, Ese is a boardroom expert and he is famous as Mr. Corporate Nigeria. He said, “He passed on this morning (yesterday)”.
Onosode family was still coming to terms with the loss, according to Ese, “we are still absorbing the knowledge.ā Iām just trying to adjust to the fact that my father is no longer alive”.

He was a foremost Nigerian technocrat, administrator, and a former presidential candidate of the All Nigeria People’s Party of Nigeria. He completed his education at the Government College, Ughelli, and the University of Ibadan, in 1970, he became one of Nigeria’s leading educated chief executives, when he was at the helm of NAL merchant bank of Nigeria.

Gamaliel became popular a leading boardroom player in Nigeria’s corporate environment. He was also a former presidential adviser to President Shehu Shagari and a former president of the Nigerian Institute of Management. He founded the Gamaliel & Susan Onosode Foundation (GAMSU), to help improve education in Nigeria in 2013, and he provided support for educational and societal development causes in Nigeria.
