Popular TV show Ellen DeGeneres penned a letter for an apology in the wake of the allegations made on the show. Recently many staff working in the show reported to the Buzzfeed regarding the “toxic work environment” of the show. Many teams were facing racism, harassment and misconduct by the shows top executive producers.
In her letter to the staff, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, DeGeneres apologised and said that the show was envisioned as a “place of happiness”, but that doesn’t seem to be the case at present
What did Ellen Mention In Her Letter
“On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be a place of happiness, no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect,” she wrote.
“Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it’s the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show,” she said.
She bore the full responsibility and stated to take proper action regarding the wrong happenings in the set of her show.
Ellen, the show host, has also promised to “do my part in continuing to push myself and everyone around me to learn and grow “.
We all hope the allegations are taken down upon strict actions against. The staff members deserve justice.
