For more than 30 years, Dr. Glenn Boris practiced pediatrics in Lubbock, and he was an inspiration to all who knew him.
He shared his experience recovering from a stroke last year. As a result of the stroke, he was paralyzed on one side of his body.

His wife Cyndi, 79, was by his side when Glenn Joseph Boris, MD, passed away peacefully in his arms on Sept. 29, 2022.
Dr. Glenn Boris, a beloved pediatrician, passed away due to a stroke.
Who is Dr. Glenn Boris?
In Michigan City, Indiana, Glenn Boris was born on Feb. 25, 1943, to Joseph A. Boris and Elmira (Rauen) Boris. He attended Purdue University and St. Mary’s High School during his high school and university years. He also attended the Medical College of Wisconsin (now Marquette Medical School).
He joined the Air Force after completing an internship in Portland, Oregon.
In Indianapolis, Indiana, he completed a pediatrics residency after serving in the military. After moving to Texas in 1975, he established a successful pediatric practice in Lubbock. As a caring and gifted physician, he had a profound impact on many young families. His practice ended in 2004.
Throughout his retirement years, Glenn frequently encountered families he had worked with. There was no doubt that everyone knew and loved Dr. Boris!
His passion for life included working hard, playing hard, and most importantly, loving with all his heart. As an active young man, he loved to travel the world, play golf and tennis, ski, and watch the Purdue Boilermakers play sports.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Boris; his mother, Elmira Boris. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to your favorite charity in Glenn’s memory.
An honorable Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lubbock on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at 10 a.m.
