Pune reported its third death concerning cyclone ‘Nisarga.’ A 35-year-old person lost his life in the Cyclone. As a result of the hurricane ‘Nisarga,’ a wall collapsed on the man. Also, the person took his last breath in the hospital on Tuesday. It was the third death reported in the district related to the Cyclone.
Pune was severely affected by the cyclone ‘Nisarga.’ The Cyclone badly hit the coastal areas of Mumbai yesterday. Subsequently, the Cyclone moved towards the northern parts of the State on Wednesday. The Cyclone has battered the parts of Maval Mulshi, Ambegaon, Junnar, and Khed.
Before this, Pune had already recorded the death of two people associated with the Cyclone on Wednesday. Narayan Ananta Navale died in a Hospital on Thursday in Pune. Manjabai, his mother, was earlier killed when a collapsed on her in Khed Tehsil.
He said that three of his family members were injured in the incident of a wall collapse at Wahagaon village. Prakash Mokar (52), a person living in Mokarwadi in Haveli, tehsil also died in the Cyclone. The person was trying to catch the hold on the tin of his roof. Further, the tin severely injured him, and he died.
Gusty winds of the Cyclone blown away, the tin roofs of a gram panchayat office, and three schools in Velhe tehsil. Meanwhile, in Mulshi tehsil, two castles were electrocuted. Ayush Prasad, Zilla Parishad CEO, said 57 anganwadis, four Gram Panchayats, and 31 Zilla Parishad schools suffered damages due to the cyclone “Nisarga.”
