Conversations with Friends Release Date:- It will be released on 15th May 2022. Sally Rooney’s debut novel is being adapted into a twelve-part BBC Three TV series by the creative team behind Normal People. Conversations with Friends, an adaptation of Sally Rooney’s debut novel from the creative team behind Normal People, hits BBC Three and iPlayer on Sunday, May 15.

The series, consisting of twelve half-hour episodes, stars Joe Alwyn, Alison Oliver, Sasha Lane, and Jemima Kirke as a group of four somewhat restless friends whose lives quickly intertwine.

What is it about?

Conversations with Friends tells the story of two college students, Frances and Bobbi, who befriend a slightly older married couple: Nick, an actor, and Melissa, a successful photographer, and writer.

There is a mutual fascination within the group – Bobbi is attracted to Melissa and Frances by Nick – and as their friendship grows, their lives intertwine more and more, spending a lot of time together, vacationing together in France, etc

Frances and Nick, after a while, start having an affair – one that forces Frances to confront her own vulnerabilities for the first time.

Who is in the cast?

Jemima Kirk as Melissa, Sasha Lane as Bobbi, Alison Oliver as Frances, and Joe Alwyn as Nick in Conversations with Friends (BBC/Element Pictures/Hulu/Enda Bowe) Alison Oliver play Frances. Oliver makes his debut in Conversations with Friends, having not appeared in any film or television roles before.
Joe Alwyn plays Nick, an actor who isn’t as famous as he used to be. You might recognize Alwyn from The Favorite, in which he starred alongside Emma Stone and Olivia Colman, or supporting roles in movies like Boy Erased and Mary Queen of Scots. He is also the partner of Taylor Swift and has collaborated with her on her albums Folklore and Evermore.

Sasha Lane plays Bobbi, Frances’ most outgoing and trusting friend. Lane is best known for her starring role in American Honey, although you may also recognize her from The Miseducation of Cameron Post (very good, I recommend) or Hearts Beat Loud. She also had a supporting role in Marvel’s Loki.

Jemima Kirke plays Melissa, a successful photographer, and writer. Kirke is probably best known for her starring role in Lena Dunham’s HBO comedy Girls, but she also recently appeared as Netflix’s new director of Sex Education.
