Since its debut in 2018, the Adidas Yeezy 500 has had a limited release schedule. Sneakerheads praised the model for its ruggedness and consistent performance on the basketball court. The label has therefore revamped the “Granite” silhouettes for its new version.
The coveted Adidas Yeezy 500 Granite sneakers are set to drop on Saturday, May 14. The price of these future sneakers will be $210, in line with the rest of Yeezy’s products. All Yeezy geeks can quickly grab their pairs via the Adidas Yeezy e-commerce site, Footlocker, and Yeezy Supply.
Adidas Yeezy 500 Granite features distinct shades of gray
Since the entire design is immersed in various shades of gray, the shoe’s moniker is fitting. These shoes feature the perfect blend of soft suede and premium mesh, nicely bundled with a chunky gray sole.
Dark gray mesh is prominent in the tabs and on the dubrae lace. These tabs are then surrounded by small suede cutouts that keep the eye away from the kicks. The mesh underlays are painted gray to mimic the aesthetics of coarse granite rock. The design is further adorned with similar laces.
Then the mud flaps have a darker gray finish. The matte texture adds a bit of contrast. A typical adiprene cushioning system is also added to the soles dressed in a monotone. The collar and heel tabs are also made of a thick gray mesh. Finally, the black insoles are adorned with Adidas Yeezy branding.
