A Woman Died After $ex Act In Shower:- A woman has been found dead in her shower after what a coroner described as a sexual act. Sandra Moore, 40, was found dead in a women-only accommodation block, an inquest heard. Sandra – also known as Michaela – was at the flat with a man who had been seen leaving shortly before her body was discovered in the bathroom. She was found hanged, and an inquest was heard.

Police opened an investigation and determined that no one else was involved in Sandra’s death. The cause of death was given as external compression of the neck caused by hanging in an act of “auto-eroticism”.

Emergency services had been called to the address in the early hours of May 31 last year. An employee of Concrete Housing, who runs the accommodation, told the inquest that Sandra had been seen at midnight, adding: ‘I heard some noise outside. The front door is always locked. I went to open the door and saw her standing holding a black bicycle, reports StokeonTrentLive.

“She was alone. I asked her what she was doing, and she said she was trying to get her bike to the window. I helped bring the bike inside and said that It was supposed to be left in the kitchen She refused so I let her take it, I carried it and left it near a wall in the hallway.

“She refused to help me further and waited for me to go to the staff room before moving the bike into the bedroom.

“At 12:20 p.m. I heard a knock so I knocked on her door. At 1 a.m. I heard another loud knock, I went to her door and knocked. She spoke through the door.

“I asked her to keep the noise down. At 1.30 am I asked if she was ok and there was no response. I had no concerns.

“Around 7:55 a.m., I heard a man come out of his room, I had never seen him before. I went inside and saw that she was inside the shower. I went to get my phone to call the ambulance.

The inquest heard that a man had been arrested and questioned on suspicion of murder.

Detective Sergeant Adam Turton said: ‘The deceased was found in a shower stall in a seated position. We spoke to other residents who were there. They did not see her but had seen men come into her room before by climbing through the window. This is a female-only unit and males are not allowed.

“(She) used drugs and prostituted herself, according to a witness.”

According to the officer, the man arrested for murder admitted to being present and said Sandra was an ex-girlfriend. The inquest heard that the day before her death, the couple had met and she was upset.

DS Turton added: “She invited him back and he snuck out. They talked and smoked. He fainted. They both used monkey dust together. He denied the murder. On CCTV, we could see them both. This supported his story. There was no evidence to suggest that force had been used against her.

The inquest heard that she had previously attempted suicide. But North Staffordshire Deputy Coroner Daniel Howe ruled out suicide, recording a finding of ‘misadventure’ instead.

He said: ‘The findings confirm that she hanged herself. On a balance of probabilities, this was not an attempt to end his own life. There is no clear evidence of recent suicidal ideation. It was an act of auto-eroticism. I don’t think she intended to end her life. This is not a case of suicide. The conclusion is that of a misadventure.
