Alongside the LG Wing smartphone, LG launched LG Velvet in India expanding the company’s product portfolio in the market. The LG Velvet India model features Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 765G found on the global version. Its main highlight is its triple rear camera setup with a main lens of 48-megapixel. It also features an IP68-rated build that isMIL-STD-810G certified. There is also has an LG Velvet Dual Screen accessory bundle available that ships with an extra screen. The price of the new LG Velvet in India is Rs. 36,990, whereas the LG Velvet Dual Screen combo is priced at Rs. 49,990. The phone will go on sale starting on October 30. The phone is available in three colors: Aurora Silver, and New Black color options.
In terms of specifications, the LG Velvet runs on Android 10. It comes with a 6.8-inch full-HD+ Cinema FullVision POLED display with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, 395ppi pixel density, and 1,080×2.460 pixels resolution. The Dual Screen brings an additional 6.8-inch full-HD+ Cinema FullVision POLED display with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and 1,080×2.460 pixels resolution on board. The Indian model is available with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC processor. And 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is an option to expand storage further up to 2TB using a microSD card.
In terms of optics, LG Velvet features a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, PDAF, and 79-degree field of view. There is an additional secondary sensor of 8-megapixel with a wide-angle f/2.2 lens and a 120-degree field of view. Lastly, there is a depth sensor of 5-megapixel with an f/2.4 lens and an 81-degree field of view. The phone also has a camera sensor of 16-megapixel at the front for selfies and video chat that is paired with an f/1.9 lens and offers an 81-degree field of view.LG Velvet has a 4,300mAh battery onboard that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ support.
