2020 International Emmy Awards: Four More Shots Please!, Delhi Crime And Arjun Mathur

India is here with a list of three nominees for 2020 International Emmy Awards. All the nominations are from different categories. The list includes- Arjun Mathur for best actor in Made in Heaven, Four More Shots Please! in best comedy series, and Delhi Crime for best drama series.

Delhi Crime is directed by Indian-Canadian director Richie Mehta. The series is based on the 2012 Delhi gangrape-murder case. The incident resulted in a nationwide protest as well as it led to change in India’s rape laws. The series made way to International Emmy Awards 2020.

However, if we talk of Four more shots please! Rangita Pritish Nandy composes it. It depicts the life of four friends. Alongside the series contained their relationships, work-life conflicts, ambitions, and anxieties in a male-dominated society. Kirti Kulhari, Sayani Gupta, Maanvi Gagroo and Bani J played the roles on screen. However, the first season got the nomination, not the second. The cast took to Twitter to share their excitement.

Arjun Mathur made his way in the list of the best performance by an actor category. He got the nomination for his role in the Amazon’s Made in Heaven series. The series reflects the lives of upscale modern India, narrated through the eyes of two wedding planners. Furthermore, it outlines the backdrop of ideal Indian weddings. Zoya Akhtar and  Reema Kagti directed the series. It also depicts the sensitive issue of the sexual preference of an individual and stereotype mentality of people in Indian society.

In 2020 International Emmy Awards there is a total of 44 nominees across 11 categories from 20 countries is there. However, we will find out the winners on November 23 when the ceremony will broadcast from New York City. The event will take place through online medium, and the credit for this goes to coronavirus.
