On Friday, 9th November, Apple Inc. announced that it found some issues affecting some of its iPhone X and MacBook Pro 13-inch model. The tech giant said that it would fix the issue in these models for free of charge.
Apple has raised the prices of most of its products and its top end iPhone sells for $1,449 and the best iPad goes for more than $1,899.
The iPhone X which was released in 2017 which was sold with a starting price of $999 may have some issues in its touchscreen. Apple stated that this screen issue was due to component failure and would replace the parts in the phone for free of charge. The tech giant had seen this issue only in the iPhone X and not on the latest versions like the iPhone XS and XR which was released this autumn.
The company stated that the displays on the affected iPhones may not respond to correctly to touch. In some cases, the screens would react even without being touched.
The company stated that the MacBook Pro 13-inch model had an issue with its storage drive and the data on those drives may result in lost data. The company said that it would service the affected drives for free.
The MacBook Pro 13-inch with 128GB and 256GB solid-state drives sold between June 2017 and June 2018 were affected as stated on the company’s website.
